Walls Bakery: A Sweet Haven in Waldorf, MD

Great pastries and very reasonably priced. Excellent German Chocolate Cake!!! If you're looking for sugar free, try their chocolate chip cookies. Not bad at all, considering it's sugar free.

I love this place so much. The pastries, Donuts, cakes, basically everything is so good I was close to crying when I got home and tried the lemon taco, I cant believe how good these pastries are and the service was amazing. The lady there was so sweet and caring for everyone, and she let people down slowly when she had to tell them there weren't any more Danish lemon pastries, and overall its a great place. There wasn't a lot of people in the store and it was quiet there which is the perfect place to just relax, and lets not forget the scent. Its so sweet that I was smiling when I walked in the door with my father. I am proud to say this is the best bakery i've ever been too, and this was also my first time in a bakery. Thank you walls bakery for the amazing place. I'm definitely coming back.

I'm so sorry that I didn't ask your name, BUT you do NEED to be recognized for your VERY KIND DEMEANOR and PROFESSIONALISM! This was our first time being at this bakery however, going off of the reviews, I'm quite sure we won't be let down by the taste of your pastries, cookies, and tarts! P.S. Walls Bakery is the VERY FIRST bakery that I've seen, in who knows how long, that was MORE THAN CLEAN it was SUPER CLEAN! I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!!

These eclairs are worth every penny paid if close just go and get one more than you think you won't regret it.

This bakery does many things right. It does a few things wrong. You have to appreciate that they have been in Waldorf for over 50 years. The owners offspring have maintained quality and value. My wife and I picked up gingerbread brownies with chocolate frosting, chocolate eclairs, a dozen doughnuts and two raisin danish. The gingerbread brownies were cake brownies that easily crumbled apart. Although the cake was a tad bit dry, the texture was soft and the gingerbread flavor was balanced. The frosting was a milk chocolate flavor that perfectly matched the cake. The chocolate eclair was absolutely delicious as a whole, but the choux pastry tasted like plain bread. It was a little dense and chewy due to the cracks in the pastry. Look at the side profile in the posted picture. It was filled with a sweet vanilla pastry cream. This was topped with a chocolate frosting. The frosting and filling were excellent because they had rich flavors that worked well together. They cover up the flaw in the plain choux pastry. The pastry can be easily fixed by adding enough sugar to the panade to sweeten it before the choux is completed. Better to add honey or maple syrup, but sugar is the least that should be added. This is like having an exquisite outfit with a beautiful hairdo while wearing plain shoes. Change the choux. The doughnuts were generally good. Some were better than others. The best ones were the custard filled and the glazed doughnuts. They had the best texture and taste. The custard was excellent, very similiar to the eclair filling. The lemon filled doughnut had an excellent filling, but the cake was a little dry and plain. The peanut butter and peanut/chocolate doughnuts had excellent frosting, but the cake were plain tasting. The raisin danish were very good. Slightly moist with a soft texture. A tasty sweetness coming from the raisins and icing. The service was excellent and very patient. It was hard to pick from all the choices. We plan on returning to try the other pastries, cookies and cakes.
